Desalination Plants

Desalination is the process by which minerals and salts are removed from brackish or sea water to produce potable water or water for irrigation.

In general, desalination process involves development of raw water source, pretreatment that is usually filtration, disinfection and membrane filtration. Post treatment of desalinated water may also be applied to correct pH and remineralization to balance magnesium and calcium concentrations to acceptable standards for potable water.

Small containerized R.O, units are available to serve relatively low daily flow requirements while larger units can be design to meet daily water requirements.
